Plot Overview:
The story is set in West Belfast in 2019 and revolves around JJ, a frustrated music teacher who meets Naoise and Liam Óg, two self-proclaimed “low-life scum.” They come together to form the band Kneecap, transforming Irish music with their unique, rebellious style. The band infuses the traditional Irish language with their tough and wild way of life. Despite facing numerous challenges from the police, paramilitary groups, and politicians, the trio strives to make their music heard. However, their biggest hurdles are often personal, as family and relationship issues threaten to destroy their dreams.
